Power of Presence

By exploring the power of your presence on, and especially OFF of the mat, you will enhance your awareness in all aspects of life.

This life-changing training will guide you through a unique method of self-exploration designed to:

  • Confront established thought patterns and unproductive habits
  • Provoke new ways of being and an enhanced sense of possibility
  • Elevate each and every person in your life to new heights, by starting with you

Community and Connection

At OUTLAW Yoga community is the priority. In this weekend immersion we explore how to create and sustain effective connection on and off the mat.
Whether you are enrolled in teacher training or are currently teaching, this intensive will enhance your current class offering by expanding the field of your focus to include an effective use of community time, partner poses, discussion, and other community building modalities to support and compliment the in-class experience.

8 Limbed Path and the Contemporary Application of Yoga Philosophy

An in-depth examination of the 8 Limbed Path, this training explores the practical application of contemporary yogic philosophy. Often deprioritized or ignored altogether, the other limbs of yoga provide a systematic, step by step path out of suffering. Sila, Samadhi, and Pana – morality, mastery and wisdom, respectively – the three necessary steps for any serious seeker to fully engage themselves in the ultimate aim of their own awakening.

STUDENT REVIEWS

  • Scott S.

    Outlaw Teacher Training is an incredible choice as a first step in becoming a Yoga instructor. From my perspective the reason here is the preparation it provides on what is important to the typical student;
    1. A present and aware teacher who comes to class with a plan.
    2. A studio that shows the student you care –mirrors and floor well-kept and ready with a fresh appearance.
    3. A premium on clean, direct asana cuing is the greatest gift I learned from Outlaw. The concept of breath, posture, cue is advice I’ve given to other teachers as being a fundamental foundation eliminating filler words and other gestures that lead the student to confusion instead of where they want to go –right to the pose.

    I have these lessons engrained into my teaching habits and my students are the beneficiaries.

    Participating in the Outlaw Yoga Teacher Training was truly a life changing experience for me. Accepting what is within life, surrendering to the path the universe has set for us, and being present in the moment are all aspects of mindfulness that are difficult for everyone. We as human beings like to feel as though we have control over situations, instead of just being present and allowing things to happen. This is one of the greatest struggles I have dealt with throughout life. The tools and practices that I learned from Justin, Megan, and the Outlaw Yoga crew have helped me tremendously with mindfulness, acceptance, and presence. Like life, all of these practices are an ongoing journey that may never be mastered, but I can honestly say I have been guided down a path that will help me to be more aware. The rest is up to me.

    The Outlaw Yoga Teacher Training experience was an incredible and life changing opportunity for me and one that will have an impact on every day of my life moving forward. I not only learned the fundamentals of becoming an effective teacher that can connect with her students, but I also learned a great deal about myself, my path, and my growth. I would recommend this experience to anyone that wishes to become not just a yoga teacher, but a GREAT yoga teacher, as well as anyone that wants to challenge themselves to become a stronger, more grateful, and more present person, on and off the mat.
